The Unexpected Comfort of Embracing Discomfort: Facing Old Beliefs to Unleash Your True Potential.

Growth often feels uncomfortable because it requires us to face our old beliefs and decide who it is we want to be.
Do you believe that growth is something you deserve?

It’s common for my 1:1 clients to make a bold move and sign up for my hypnosis programs, only to second guess themselves after the fact. Ultimately they are able to see that this is their fear surfacing and trust their decision, but this is often the first test in the journey of saying “no more” to their former selves.

This has also happened to me. Two years ago, I moved into my dream apartment in Ft. Lauderdale and like most moves, this has had its own challenges.

When these challenges surfaced, I noticed that old stories about money and self-worth wanted to re-emerge.
You see, I’ve spent the last seven years healing my relationship with money and believing in my own self worth. Seven years ago I was at my lowest point.  I faced eviction, bankruptcy, a mountain of debt and car repossession for myself and my family.
It took years of work to believe I deserved abundance and financial peace.
And every level of growth has required me to believe in myself even when external circumstances wanted me to believe otherwise.
But I choose to believe that I am worthy of joy, abundance, and peace. I choose to make decisions from a place of trust instead of fear.

Can you trust the new person who wants to emerge?
Can you trust that you are creating a new way of being?

Growth often feels uncomfortable because it requires us to face our old beliefs and decide who it is we want to be.

It’s easy to want to revert to old patterns because those feel safe and comfortable.
Creating a new you, starts with trusting. It’s about taking that first step and embracing the growth you deserve. And when old patterns begin to emerge, you choose to stay centered and focus on the new story you are creating.

What story are you willing to let go of so you can create a new reality?

Where does Self Sabotage and Unconscious Toxic Patterns come from?

“As long as I keep myself small I will be safe…”
After a powerful week of breakthroughs and wins with my clients, I’m reminded of the incredible power of transformation. From uncovering subconscious programming and labels around money and success, to learning how to identify and change patterns that have been holding us back, I’m in awe of the journey we can take to create a new story for ourselves.

Let me share with you some of the highlights of this week and the lessons I’ve learned

⁃ “As long as I keep myself small I will be safe” Sometimes we will sabotage our professional goals because we are afraid of success, not failure. If you experience tension and conflict around Money and career as a child you might have established a toxic label with your profession: “Success brings separation”, “Money brings conflict” … These are some examples of subconscious programming and labels around Money and success that WILL determine your actions, how much you risk, what opportunities you bring, and ultimately your results, how much you allow yourself to grow and achieve. Remember: THIS IS COMPLETELY UNCONSCIOUS BEHAVIOR! Not in your control unless you heal it.

What to do? IDENTIFY… how do you FEEL around money and success? Visualize how much Money you want to make and your ultimate professional goal and PAY ATTENTION to how do you feel?:
Is it uncomfortable?? Sadness? Disgust? Fear? How does your body feel? Make sure that you know what FEELING you have around this and how does it manifest in your BODY (sensation, texture)

Once you are able to identify it… now take a time travel trip: WHEN HAVE YOU FELT THIS BEFORE? What does it remind you of? Finding the source of this feeling will give you a lot of perspective of what patterns you might be repeating unconsciously and will allow you to have the power to CHANGE it! To write a new story!
Remember: you can’t change something you are not aware of!

3 Gear Shifts to slow down!- Why pausing while going through change is so important.

“Going slow, sometimes, is all the speed you need!”
Sometimes life has a way of stopping us and forcing us to slow down.  Maybe it’s a sickness or injury. Or it could be unexpected news that stops us in our tracks.  The good news is that you don’t have to wait until life forces you to slow down to embrace the power of emptiness that comes through silence.  If you’ve made any big shifts or leaps in your life on 2022—it’s important to make space for integrating that change. When we think we have to keep accomplishing one thing after the next, we deplete ourselves.  Even if it feels like nothing is happening, trust me—it is! This is why so many people struggle to be in stillness because it feels like they aren’t making progress!  But the emptiness creates space where we can integrate all we’ve accomplished and make space for what comes next. Change requires a lot of internal energy. We have to learn how to recharge!

When it comes to slowing down, these three things are key:
Sleep: Sometimes everything we need to be productive can happen when we are still. Don’t feel guilty for setting that alarm clock later. I know there’s a lot of emphasis on having a productive morning routine, but trust me sleeping in can be the best thing you do for your mind and body this week!
Process: I use the power of journaling to express my mind and connect with my true desires. Talking is also a good way to process if you aren’t a writer. When you reach out to someone you can talk to, you begin to access different parts of your brain.
Nutrition: It’s important to give our bodies space to recharge and integrate. For me, I routinely fast to give my digestive system a rest. But what we put into our bodies fuels us for our next steps.

Are you taking time to reset, integrate and prepare for the journey ahead? If you need support, reach out for support, lean into your friends, family, your tribe. Your community will be able to remind you that going slow, sometimes, is all the speed you need!

You got this!
